Lindsays W.S. chooses Factonomy for Secure Extranet
Factonomy a leading enabler of web-based business solutions, has announced today details of a two-part deal with Lindsays, the award winning Scottish Law firm.
As a result of the deal, Lindsays, which was crowned Law Firm of the Year 2007 in Scotland, had both a secure extranet developed and its existing intranet service enhanced in under four months, using the Factonomy Framework™.
Lindsays wanted a secure and reliable extranet to offer a higher quality of service to their wide range of clients, which include national and international public companies, SMEs, financial and educational institutions, university spin-out companies, start-up businesses, charities and private individuals. Factonomy had it ready in just six weeks.
“We have been impressed by the speed of development and initial client feedback on set-up and ease of use has also been very positive,” said Lindsay’s IT Director, Lorna Thorburn. “Factonomy helped us get up and running quickly and efficiently and we are actively considering rolling out the extranet to all our clients.”
Geoff Kell, CEO of Factonomy pointed to the productivity benefits the Factonomy Framework provides: “Our technology reduces the time and cost it takes companies to develop applications,” said Kell. “Our secure extranets improve a company’s business relationships and customer service. Because we automate many of the processes, payback is fast,” he said.
Thorburn was also impressed by the enhanced Intranet offering Factonomy designed, which was delivered to the company in 10 weeks:
“The revamped Intranet is easy to use, so with minimal staff training, our staff can access, update and disseminate significant amounts of information quickly and effortlessly,” said Thorburn.
