Automated Plan Generation

With all business continuity data recorded within the centralized database it is now possible to output business continuity plans in PDF format on demand.  Any number of planning templates can share access to the same data and so a site plan may summarize information about many business units and functions linked to the site whilst a critical staff action plan may be condensed to the size of a wallet card yet output using the same process.

All data can become out of date. Processes within Factonomy BCM can be configured to force periodic review and sign-off events across the business with levels of escalation where failures exist.

High-level reviews can also be conducted at regional or divisional levels or at any point in a connected hierarchy such as legal entity, location or reporting matrix.  These high level reviews can be focused through the automatic presentation of graphical dependency data or dashboards that portray levels of business rule violation and compliance.

Planning Dimensions

Traditional business continuity solutions have relied on the creation of planning documents as a key source of information.  This approach is inflexible and provides only limited benefit to the organization whilst offering very little consistency in approach.

With the centralized database at the heart of the Factonomy BCM solution however, it is possible to use the data to generate planning documents across different dimensions of the business without the need to re-enter or double record the information.

A site manager can be granted access to certain templates that, when executed, will draw information from across the business units recording information within the site resulting in the immediate creation of a valid site plan.

Regional and Divisional managers can easily be provided with plans that include only the critical information required to understand the high level planning. Senior and executive staff can view levels of conformance to the business rules and track the year–on-year improvements in resilience that a systemic BCM solution can deliver.
