Management Information
Factonomy BCM includes its own integrated reporting and management dashboard tools provide very powerful, almost limitless, reporting capabilities directly within the browser based application. Given that Factonomy BCM is data (not document) driven, reporting can be generated on every aspect of the product.
The BCM core generates the specific reports required by your organization and business continuity processes. This includes generating both process-centric and location-centric reports.
Reports can be delivered in many different ways including:-
- Graphical dashboards including; charts, visualizations and dependency maps
- Searchable on screen data with extensive drill down functionality
- Excel exports of relevant and controlled data
- PDF documents for storage or printing
- Integration with other reporting systems including
- Crystal Reports,
- Cognos BI
- in-house data warehouse solutions
Charts and visualizations different font and color
Charts are rendered in the browser, sometimes after filtering to display (regional, organizational group, etc.,) specific data. Charts will typically be configured to include drill-down functionality so that users can quickly interrogate the data at the source.
Visualizations extend the core capabilities even further by allowing the customized presentation of data in ways that quickly convey meaning that may otherwise require detailed explanations of context.
Dashboards
Dashboards provide an “at-a-glance” situation monitor by allowing small-scale versions of multiple charts and visualizations to be brought together on a single screen.
The core feature of “landing pages” allows configuration to dictate the home screen of different user groups or individual users making it possible to present dashboards as the effective home page for some users.
Report Grids
Report grids can include a wide range of filtering capability so that users can refine a wide data set to suit a specific task. Grids enable users to drill-down into source data. Generally, these types of report are most suitable for mid-level managers who are closely involved in managing content and process.
Exports
Data can be exported in many formats to facilitate data modelling and ad-hoc reporting. If standard exports are required in formats like Excel then formatted outputs can be generated by the system so that headers, etc. are clearly identified.
