QUB staff may elect to apply system upgrades at times appropriate to themselves.

All upgrades are published by Factonomy via a secure Sub-Version repository.There is a rolling programme of upgrades and hot fixes and there is no specific frequency.

At present it is necessary to stop some services during updates. It is standard to create a test environment to allow updates to be tested before being applied to the live environment. Factonomy will always support legacy code subject to appropriate support agreements remaining in place. However, if the resolution to the fault is identified by our support personnel as requiring the application of an update then it becomes mandatory to implement that fix.
