Where is authentication data stored?
Authentication may be stored in the client’s LDAP system.
If authentication is against the Factonomy database then username and password are stored in the database.
However, a mechanism exists for the hashing of passwords in which circumstances systems administrators and/or db admin staff do not have access to see or change user passwords.
