What is the underlying development language/environment?
The underlying development language is Declarative XML. XSLT and CSS are used to transform the XML files at runtime.
The Factonomy Framework has been engineered using C#. The Framework is fully extensible and so clients can extend the functionality using C# or this can be done by Factonomy in a support role, as and when required.
