How does the Framework handle batch processing?
The use of Windows Workflow Foundation, Microsoft BizTalk and Microsoft SSIS allow for all batch processing and back-ups to be undertaken without the requirement for exclusive locks on the database.
In all cases Factonomy uses database transactions in order to ensure either commit or full roll back of any user requested transaction.
