Company History

Factonomy was founded in 2003 by Graeme Bryce and Dave Reynolds. For the first two years, we developed tested and improved upon our core technology. This was extensively deployed and tested in live project scenarios between 2004 and 2006.

In June 2006 we secured our first round of commercial funding, with investment from Scottish Enterprise's Business Growth Fund, HBOS and other private equity sources. This facilitated the commercialisation of our software and the expansion of our executive team with the appointment of Geoff Kell, an ex-senior director of technology company Psion, as CEO.

In the spring of 2008 Factonomy secured second round funding of £860k to expand its sales and marketing and technical support functions.
